My Story

Kubernesis was birthed from a divine intersection—where the shifting needs of modern ministry met a God-given ability to lead, organize, and build behind the scenes. As ministry continues to evolve, so does the demand for professional, Spirit-led support. I recognized that my background in executive administration, love for the Church, and passion for excellence were not just skills—they were a calling.
After years of serving in churches, nonprofits, and faith-based businesses, I began to sense the Lord inviting me to rethink how I viewed this “gift.” What started as a support role became a ministry in its own right. I took stock of what I truly loved—organizing, planning, training, leadership development—and realized that not only could those things work hand-in-hand, they should.
And from that moment, Kubernesis was born: a ministry-minded consulting and training firm dedicated to guiding churches, ministries, and Christian leaders toward administrative excellence—all for the glory of God.

Many overlook administration, yet Scripture places it among the crucial spiritual gifts that build the Body of Christ. The word administration comes from the Latin ad ministrare—“to serve.” To administer is to do ministry. It’s not just about order—it’s about bringing Kingdom vision to life.
Our name, Kubernesis [koo-ber'-nay-sis], is rooted in this powerful truth. In Greek, kubernesis means “to steer, guide, or govern.” It comes from the image of a skilled helmsman, responsible for piloting a ship with precision—guiding it safely through storms and toward its intended destination. In the same way, the gift of administration requires discernment, wisdom, and steady leadership to help ministries navigate challenges and fulfill their mission.
Metaphorically, kubernesis refers to the divine insight and strategic direction needed to manage the affairs of the church. It’s the quiet but essential gift that keeps things moving forward, ensuring that every part of the Body is aligned and functioning well.
